About Us

VAEN is an Ontario-based furniture studio creating sculptural, made-to-order pieces with the presence of architecture. Our work brings microcement, wood and metal together in quiet forms designed to live with for years.

Material first

VAEN grew from a long relationship with architectural surfaces and hand-applied finishes. Microcement is built in thin mineral layers, then cured, refined and sealed to create a continuous surface with depth, movement and a tactile matte character.

Because the finish is applied by hand, subtle tonal and textural variation is part of the material language. No two pieces are exactly identical.

Made to order

We do not approach furniture as disposable inventory. Each piece is produced to order, allowing us to focus on proportion, finish and careful execution rather than mass production.

VAEN is based in the Greater Toronto Area. Our collection is developed for residential, hospitality and professional interiors across Canada, with selected shipping destinations available beyond Canada.
